CV64/3D and NetBSD?

I consider buying a CV64/3d and sell my old Picasso. Does anyone know if the
S3 VIRGE chips are in any way compatible with the Trio64-chips? To put it
differently, would it be difficult to write a CV64/3d driver, or is it just a
slight modification of the existing CV64-driver?
