Well, mine did complete the build.sh with your command line (without X though,
I'm not sure I've enough space to build X). It's running:
NetBSD borneo 5.0_BETA NetBSD 5.0_BETA (XEN3_DOM0) #0: Sat Nov 22 15:02:35 PST 

anything special on your setup (like a tmpfs for /tmp) ?
