OK, i've finally built firefox2 (with no gtk1) and ns-flash, and it works!
One small nit: It runs "nspluginwrapper -i" as root, which seems to 
install the plugin in ~root/.mozilla/plugins. If I run the above command 
as 'normal' user, the plugin shows up in "about:plugins" and works fine 
(tested: youtube, myspace mp3 player).
