Hello,

I have started accumulating parts for my first amd64 PC. So
far I have a 1.8 GHz Athlon64 microprocessor and a case. Has
anyone tried the Asus A8V-VM mainboard with NetBSD?

Here's the spec...
http://usa.asus.com/products_print.aspx?l1=3&model=1003&modelmenu=2

My main priorities are that the SATA host adaptor (is it
really a RAID controller?) and "Cool-n-Quiet" should be
supported. It would also be nice if other hardware such as
the USB ports, built-in sound and display adaptors worked.

I welcome any advice or observations.

Thanks,
