Yes... it's turned off...  It's just the 'default' INSTALL_ACPI kernel.. 

Give me a sec, and I'll bake a INSTALL_MPACPI kernel+cdrom...  (i.e. 
take INSTALL_ACPI, and add "options         MULTIPROCESSOR") and 
a (much smaller) GENERIC_MPACPI-booting cdrom too...
