Hmm, I've done that, so my /emul/netbsd32/lib contains

[...]
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel     10 Mar  9 16:43 libc.so -> libc.so.12
lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  wheel     16 Mar  9 16:43 libc.so.12 -> libc.so.12.114.1
-r--r--r--  1 root  wheel 799748 Mar  9 16:43 libc.so.12.114.1
[...]

But still no dice:

$ file a.out
a.out: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for
NetBSD 2.0.2, statically linked, not stripped
$ ./a.out
=2E/a.out: 1: Syntax error: "(" unexpected

   This is so cool I have to go to the bathroom.
