Hi Frank,
    Firstly, thanks for taking some time to look at this. Sorry, I cannot
try with a 1.5Gb/s drive as I don't have any.
    Below is the dmesg output for this machine with a current kernel as of
about 2 hours ago. The config is customised but not much...
