No, just do:
ftp ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/NetBSD-daily/netbsd-3/200602190000Z/amd64/binary/kernel/netbsd-GENERIC.gz
gunzip netbsd-GENERIC.gz
mv /netbsd /netbsd.old
mv netbsd-GENERIC /netbsd

boot on netbsd.old (boot netbsd.old on the bootloader countdown) and then
mv /netbsd.old /netbsd
