Will do lateron today, but I believe my last tcpdump showed the request
is made and the server does answer, but the client doesn't pick up the
response.

Hmm, well, the thing that's confusing, though, is that the same kernel
works fine on the i386 machine.

Would this not factor in when it's pxebooting (as that works fine)?
