FYI, the final version of the amd64pkg-3.0.iso CD is now available, see 
your nearest NetBSD mirror or download directly from:

                                    What is it?

    The 3rd party software team of the NetBSD Project is proud to be able to
    provide a CD with the installation files for NetBSD 3.0/amd64 and a
    collection of essential precompiled binary packages NetBSD 3.0/amd64.
    The packages on this CD are based on the pkgsrc-2005Q4 branch.

    The CD is bootable and contains all the install files for
    the NetBSD 3.0/amd64. To install binary packages from the CD,
    mount it under (say) /cdrom, then run:
