No, it must not stop. The wsons protocol multiplexes multiple mice input
data into a single mouse from the X servers point of view. Now imagine a
notebook with two-button touchpad and an external usb mouse temporarily
connected. Pressing the middle button on the external mouse and then removing
the mouse must not stop middle button emulation on the touchpad.

There is a XFree bugzilla ticket (#1129).

Note that this has nothing to do with the default for Emulate3Button,
which should be off, IMHO.
