Just have the "chance" to power up the machine today: Yes, version
4.4.0 is running fine (at least startx brings up the predefined
xterms and xclock). I've not looked yet at getting a 2nd display
up and running... I can provide /etc/X11/XF86Config and
/var/log/XFree86.0.log on request.
