Thanks for looking into it.

Should I post more crashes if I see them?  Audacity is pretty much
the only program that does this.  (Then again, most other programs
don't work very hard.  (^&  Audacity only does this if I'm pushing
it fairly hard, and even then takes a while to induce.)  If it were
a hardware problem, I'm surprised that it would come back within
a few bytes for two consecutive crashes.
