To reply myself even more, the following test. It takes place with USB 
turned off.

The case is, the card wont detect an IP. However, when I set another IP 
manually to the card (Brining it up) it can ping around after a delay of 
about 4 seconds. When I then try to dhclient the card, it gets an IP and 
it pings nicely en delaylessly.

Something is very weird here.
