I've been playing around with a new amd64 box at home. Its an
AMD64 3200, 1GB DDR400 (2x512MB) on an ASUS K8V MB. HD is a SATA
WD Raptor 38GB 10k RPM.

Couple of things I've noticed:

* GENERIC does not work for this MB. I had to add ACPI and
  the add the 3com 3c940 (sk) driver to the config.
  dmesg & kernel conf attached.

* X works, but I've had issues with the X server spontaneously restarting
  no core dump, or anything inside a log file.

* While running a bulk build of pkgsrc on the box, I happened
  to notice that the system cpu time was "high" (>20%). I tried
  compiling a kernel with profiling, but machine would reset
  before printing the copyright. [vmstat -v -w5 output attached]

* fefe benchmarks.
  forkbench causes the system to reset, no panic.
