I talked to someone on the list, it may have been Michael Hitch,
regarding a common reason for failure
in the CS20's 6AMP drawing power supply. Some modifications were
made by API to prevent over heating,
such as replacing the top metal housing with a thin piece of hard
plastic. I was wondering if anyone
had the schematics for the CS20's power supply? Or if the component
that fails due to over heating is
something that can be easily sourced and replaced. I suppose that
Microway could have possibly rebuilt
all the power supplies for the API stock they sell. Its difficult to
tell from the picture, but its possible
that they modified the PS to make it less dependent on a constant
flow of cool air.
