I don't know if my problem is related to yours or not,
but sometimes sl0 hangs (onboard rs-232 port on 164LX
running 2.0.2).  No http, no ftp, no ping. no nuthin'.
Shutting slip down and restarting doesn't help.  (The
rs-232 port still works.)  Only fix I have found is a
reboot.  This only affects sl0, the Ethernet (tulip
card) still works.
