An ES40 is as the biggest machine I've managed to get my hands on so far.  :-)

That's OK.  No real need for SMP in the INSTALL kernel.  :-)

But that's obviously not OK.  However it is very much the same as others
have reported here with previous attempts to boot 1.6.x
