I've installed the following on my alpha running 1.6.1_STABLE, but I've
found that gs generates some rather ugly images, especially from PDFs:

ghostscript-fonts-6.0 Postscript fonts for Aladdin Ghostscript
ghostscript-gnu-x11-7.05nb1 GNU Postscript interpreter with X11 and image drivers

Of the sample files in share/examples/ghostscript only alphabet.ps and
waterfal.ps render properly. Everything else has ugly bands and lines.

Does anyone else see the same? Does anyone know if any work is being
done to fix this?
