I think you're talking about a different machine. There's nothing
"slow" about an AS4100. Those machines kick ALL SORTS of ass. Amazing
I/O bandwidth, amazing memory bandwidth...great CPU performance if you
have faster boards (anyone ever see an AS4100 with four 600MHz 21164A
processors with 8MB of cache each? Zoom!).
I have Cray supercomputers here. I know what "fast" is all about.
An AS4100 is fast.
