Dear port-alpha:
I've made a bootable CD to install NetBSD from following the instructions at
http://www.netbsd.org/Documentation/bootcd.html#alphaimage
It boots an AlphaStation 200 4/166, a PWS 500 and an AlphaServer
ES40, but when I use it on a 3000/400 this happens:
>>> b dkb500
INIT-S-CPU...
INIT-S-RESET_TC...
INIT-S-ASIC...
INIT-S-MEM...
INIT-S-NVR...
INIT-S-SCC...
INIT-S-NI...
INIT-S-SCSI...
INIT-S-ISDN...
INIT-S-TC1...
AUDIT_BOOT_STARTS ...
? T_ERR_SCSI - CHECK_MEDIA/DEVICE
84 FAIL
I used the same PlexWriter PX-W1210S drive on the AS 200, PWS 500 and
3000/400. I tried connecting its Block jumpers for the latter but
that didn't help.
Do you know what the problem could be?
Ray
