Hi! Interesting problems here with an Abit Hotrod and a 60GB Maxtor:

pciide0 at pci0 dev 12 function 0: Triones/Highpoint HPT366 IDE Controller
pciide0: bus-master DMA support present
pciide0: primary channel wired to native-PCI mode
pciide0: using kn20aa irq 4 for native-PCI interrupt
wd0 at pciide0 channel 0 drive 0: <Maxtor 4D060H3>
wd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 4 (Ultra/66) (using DMA data
transfers)
pciide1 at pci0 dev 12 function 1: Triones/Highpoint HPT366 IDE Controller
pciide1: bus-master DMA support present
pciide1: primary channel wired to native-PCI mode
pciide1: using kn20aa irq 4 for native-PCI interrupt
pciide0:0:0: lost interrupt
wd0(pciide0:0:0): using PIO mode 4, Ultra-DMA mode 2 (Ultra/33) (using DMA data
transfers)
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: lost interrupt
pciide0:0:0: bus-master DMA error: missing interrupt, status=0x21
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00
pciide0:0:0: not ready, st=0x00, err=0x00

And now it's completely stuck, looping with:

pciide0:0:0: lost interrupt
        type: ata tc_bcount: 65536 tc_skip: 0

The system works otherwise just fine, AS 600 5/333, 384MB, running 1.6P
dated Thu Mar 13 09:32:33 EET 2003.

I tried the same drive and another Hotrod on a 500/500 but it wanted to
machine check on me if I loaded the drive at all.

Any ideas ? ("Buy SCSI" isn't one of them..)
