           line xxxxx: Need an operator

     ...where xxx is several dozen separate lines.  I keep getting this
error while trying to compile xfree-4.2.1.tar.gz from
caseydoodle.com.

     Does anyone know what this means?  The rest of the X package compiles
and installs just fine, but no drivers are compiled so no X server is
created (that I can find).
