I've put a 4 port PCI USB card in my PC164LX.  I picked one that mentioned
compatibility with "Power PC, Alpha, MIPS and virtually all UNIX platforms"
but I would have thought most would work.  No problems with it, although the
only device I've tested it with is a USB radio.  I had to add the kernel
configuration for the radio, but USB printers are in the configuration for
1.6, so you should be fine.
