  I'm near certain that the standard DB25 male port is the default
console on the 3000/300 and 3000/300x.
  Some of DEC's documentation calls the kbd/mouse port - the DB15 male
connector - a combined serial port.  It is, but it's reserved for
keyboard and mouse.
