Not yet, but I could give it a go with 1.6F(ish). I had an interesting
adventure (again) with XFree, got a working 8-bit configuration with 
an S3 Virge/DX thanks to the instructions by Ray Phillips:

However, it seems I'm stuck in the land of 8-bitness and I might as well
give the TGA-cards a go (just an excuse to admire the guts of my new toy:-)
