I reported this problem back in 12/01, i consistently see it on my PWS
433au.
When i plug a Z40 Olympus camera into the usb port i get dmesg:
umass0 at uhub0 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: OLYMPUS C-40Z/D-40Z, rev 1.10/1.00, addr 2
umass0: using SCSI over Bulk-Only
scsibus1 at umass0: 2 targets, 1 luns per target
scsibus1: waiting 2 seconds for devices to settle...
sd1 at scsibus1 target 1 lun 0: <OLYMPUS, C-40Z/D-40Z, 1.00> SCSI2
0/direct removable
sd1: could not mode sense (4/5); using fictitious geometry
sd1: 32000 KB, 31 cyl, 64 head, 32 sec, 512 bytes/sect x 64000 sectors
disklabel sd1 does not show the msdos partion?
hence 'mount -t msdos /dev/sd1? /mnt' fails.
The camera works flawlessly on i386 boxes, any reason why alpha comes up
short?
