Hello,

I'm trying desperately to install a Wasabi 1.5 CD for Alpha on my AS200
4/233. My CD drive is having trouble reading the disk, so I'm trying to
netboot. I have bootp and TFTP installed on the server, and am booting the
latest SRM firmware (7.0-9) with >>> b ewa0 -fi netbsd.alpha.  My alpha
loads retrieves the file via TFTP, and prints:

bootstrap code read in
base = 1f2000, image_start = 0, image_bytes = 2697e5
initializing HWRPB at 2000
initializing page table at 1e4000
initializing machine state
setting affinity to the primary CPU
jumping to bootstrap code

halted CPU 0
kernel stack not valid halt
PC = 0
boot failure
>>>

My bootptab file read as:

netbsd.alpha:\
    :hd=/var/net/tftpd:bf=netbsd.alpha:\
    :ht=ethernet:ha=0000f82341ab:vm=rfc1048:\
    :ip=192.168.216.5:bs=auto:

And I copied "netbsd.alpha" from the root dir of the CD (CD #2) into
/var/net/tftpd on my server.

I have read all the docos I can find, but I cannot find the solution. Am I
doing something silly?

Thanks in advance for any help. :-)

cheers,
-bp
