Gents ---
I have successfully created a NetBSD 1.5 kernel for the Multia, that
will fit on a floppy, and boot the filesytems from the IDE drive. _Many_
thanks (and apologies, where due!) to those who put up with my questions,
even though they wanted to smack me upside the head! You know who you are,
and I probably did deserve a smack at times. But don't worry, I took many
good notes...

AFAIK, it is a fully functional kernel. All the info is located
here...
http://pages.cthome.net/squeege/multia/
...Everyone is invited to have a look, maybe try it out, and please send
comments, corrections, or improvements to me.

Is there a possibility of getting a page (like the one I made)
added to the Alpha FAQ area on the website? I think it might be a helpful
reference.

There are two unresolved items (seen in dmesg), that I'm working on.
They are...
...
com0 at isa0 port 0x3f8-0x3ff irq 4: ns16550a, working fifo
alpha_shared_intr_establish: isa irq 4: warning: using edge-triggered on
level-triggered
com1 at isa0 port 0x2f8-0x2ff irq 3: ns16550a, working fifo
alpha_shared_intr_establish: isa irq 3: warning: using edge-triggered on
level-triggered
pckbc0 at isa0 port 0x60-0x64
...
...
