I tried searching the mail arcive, but I got an "internal server error"
message...

Has anyone gotten a Multia to boot 1.4.2 from a floppy, then mount
the IDE drive? Can the 1.4.2 kernel even be trimmed/shrunk down that much?
What about gzip on it? I'm hoping to create a little http/ftp (and maybe
DHCP) server, and hoping to not have an external SCSI box for this. Then I'd
work on the same type of setup (boot floppy, IDE drive for data) for a
little firewall.
I can/will set a Multia up with the (500 MB) SCSI drive for the
initial kernel rebuilding and tweaking...
Yes, rebiulding the kernel is definitely required, but I'm curious
what else... Can anyone point me to when this has been discussed in the
list? Or where else to find info?
