Does anyone have a list of specific cards or models that are known to be
bootable on this platform? I had gotten the impression that NCR cards were,
but the "show config" stuff doesn't show any devices attached to my Symbios
   '875 card.

sigh. the pc164 SRM appears to be severely lacking in support for various
ncr cards. i have a 810ae that isn't recognise by the pc164, but was by
an as200 and an as255. the only difference i can find between this card and
the working 810{,a} cards i've seen is that the PCI revision ID is 0x23 for
the 810ae, while significantly less for other cards (0x10 or lower). i've
tried hassling dec/compaq to ask them to fix it but they have no plans to
ever update the pc164 SRM at this stage. :-(

i wonder if you have the same problem.
