Interesting.  What version of the SRM console are you using?  Do you have the
sporadic "loses all settings" bug?

My '875 card that I'm testing with is a Promise-branded card; I also have a
couple of Diamond Multimedia cards.

Hey, it just occurred to me:  Should it "recognize" (see in "show config") a
drive which has not yet been labeled?  I didn't label the drive since I was
busy fixing another problem...
