i have a dec alpha 3000/400 running NetBSD-1.5_BETA (not BETA2).
when the machine boots it halts at single user mode

...
scsibus1: waiting 2 seconds to devices to settle...
root on sd0a dumps on sd0b
root file system type: ffs
Enter pathname of shell or RETURN for sh:

i can enter this way and when typing exit at the shell prompt
it goes into multi-user mode. i've looked in the netbsd docs and
i've done everything it says to avoid this, but alas i still
cannot get past single user mode on boot up. how to i disable
this "feature"? any ideas appreciated. i haven't run netbsd
since 1.1Beta on a microvax II some years back :-)

thanks,
mike
