i'm wondering why i keep getting various crashes on
different apps with "Undefined PLT symbol XXXXX"

for instance, Undefined PLT symbol "memcpy" (reloc
type = 26, symnum = 7). memcpy is in libc, but when i
"nm" the library or the app, it shows that most if not
all functions from libc are Undefined.

i did ldd the library and check to see if it was
linked with -lc and they are. i'm just really
frustrated right now with this Alpha. i don't usually
see this on i386.

# ldd *.so
libPTL.so:
         -lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
         -lm.0 => /usr/lib/libm.so.0
# ldd /usr/local/libexec/mysqld
/usr/local/libexec/mysqld:
         -lz.0 => /usr/lib/libz.so.0
         -lc.12 => /usr/lib/libc.so.12
         -lPTL.2.0 => /usr/pkg/lib/libPTL.so.2.0
         -lcrypt.0 => /usr/lib/libcrypt.so.0
         -lstdc++.2 => /usr/lib/libstdc++.so.2
         -lm.0 => /usr/lib/libm.so.0

mysql is one app im having tremendous headaches with
right now. i'm trying to use ptl2 threads with it.
