well heck, where's the fun in that?  ;-)


at least i was in the right ballpark.. a serial interface for console
i/o.   that's not what i'm using, in this case.   as mentioned before, i
have a plain-old VGA monitor plugged into a jack which, when seen inside
the machine, sits right on the motherboard.
