I am quite possibly well on my way to insanity. I have been trying since
saturday to install NetBSD/alpha 1.4.2 on my Multia with pratically no luck
whatsoever.

1. Tried booting off a hard drive with cdhdtape dd'd to the drive. Booted up
just fine, but could not install as it determined the 2 gig hard drive to be
one of 1.4 meg.

2. Tried booting off of the same hard drive again, but installing to a
second disk. The installer thought both disks were 1.4 meg in size.

3. Stole a floppy drive from another Multia and built boot floppies. When
booting off the floppy, it says "NetBSD/alpha 1.4.2 primary boot +" and
hangs right there.

4. Tried recording cdhdtape to a cdr and booting that. Still hangs were the
floppy did.

What is up with this thing? I shouldn't have a hardware problem, the machine
ran Linux just fine.

Please help! Thanks.
