On a seperate note, I have a few multia's where this check is broken, even
if there is a keyboard attached, it thinks there is no keyboard. Anoying.

Is there a way around this too? (probably the same question)

The ports were broken by somebody who used a serial mouse to ps/2 adapter
on the multias. It took a few multias until he figured it out ;-)
