Correct. There were similar experiences with the 1.4.1, if I did
manage to boot with it on the new XP1000.

Yes, both with 1.4.1 (when it did boot) and with the 1223 snap
on the new HW.

The messages kept repeating (I can get the full message - I am
not at that location now - tomorrow) and there was something
about MBOX command error 15. 

The isp0 messages went on ad nauseam, and no further control
could be regained at the console.
