Hi,

I'm trying to install NetBSD-1.4.1 on a PC164SX mainboard-based
machine. The only devices are a PCI-based graphics adaptor and an IDE
disk connected to the on-board IDE bus. I installed SRM console version
5.6-2 and booted the installation floppies. When viewing /kern/msgbuf
using more(1) and paging backwards and forwards for some times, I get
random reboots.

Also, gunzip fails to uncompress base.tgz with an "invalid file format"
error. I am pretty sure the file is not corrupted, however, since I
loaded them twice over the LAN to identical effect.

Has anyone succeeded in running NetBSD on the described architecture?

cu Jo
