Not the case, as I've said before -- you just need to use
"hn:vm=rfc1048" if you're using bootp, or "always-reply-rfc1048 on" and
"use-host-decl-names on" if you're using dhcpd. My 3000/400 with SRM
7.0 boots just fine via dhcpd off my 5000/240.
