IIRC TCL isn't 64-bit clean.  Look at the Debian-alpha archives, at
http://www.debian.org/Lists-Archives/
and the axp-list archives at
http://archive.redhat.com/axp-list/
for more info.  (I'd start with the Debian lists, since the volume is
so much lower and there's a working search engine.)
