After successfully untarring most of the distribution for NetBSD
1.3.3/Alpha,
I was greeted with the following when I tried to boot from the machine:

.
.
vga0 at isa0 port 0xffffffff-0x664
wscons0 at vga0: console
vga1 at isa0 port 0xffffffff-0x664
panic: wsconsmatch: multiple consoles?

And the rest is history.... :-{(

I'm running an AXPpci33 (noname), 40mb of ram, and I've been running
1.3E
with few difficulties. BTW, I had the same problem when I was
installling 1.3E, Ross Harvey
suggested a fix which worked - an alternate kernel.

Is this a known problem with the generic kernel? Is there something in
the
configuration for the kernel I should be modifying??

Any ideas for a fix????

TIA

Stan
