To all intents && purposes, you can run into some problems in 1.3.X for
very large amounts of memory (some kernel tables get out of hand), but
you're fine in -current and can really go to town on primary memory.

Each of the alpha platforms does have an upper limit both in terms of
internal memory controllers and actually physical bits implemented (still
at 40 bits even for the 21264, right Ross?) but they ought to be beefy
enough for you....
