I noticed a bunch of funny messages from various things during my recent 
waft through the pkgsrc tree..  (god it make a 3 meg make.out log..  sheesh)

Alot of them seem to be talking about alpha not having dynamic loading, such as
this from the perl build:

dlopen() found.
*** WHOA THERE!!! ***
    The recommended value for $d_dlopen on this machine was "undef"!
    Keep the recommended value? [y]  
Do you wish to use dynamic loading? [n]  
                                    ^^^

Why doesn't alpha support this?  Is this on someone's todo list?
