Let's be clear here:

The cygnus toolchain source has _not_ been directly related to the
NetBSD/alpha toolchain source for a whlie.

Originally, I was working from cygnus toolchain sources.  However, I
wasn't able to get any sorts of timely updates to them.  Therefore,
over time, I transitioned to either FSF released toolchain bits, or
(in some cases) snapshots of toolchain development bits (used with the
package maintainers' permissions).
