Well, I've built a kernel with today's stuff, and I can't make
it freeze- or no more so than it usually does- I'm remote right
now, and with a 14.4KB ppp connection plus about 10 hops with
an approximate 200ms delay, I *always* get hangs of some kind or
another.

I did try a blast (a nightly net dump) out a tcp port locally-
but that happily went along at ~800KB/S for the 60-70MB or so.....

I'll keep an eye on it...
