So, i just put up a new kernel at

	ftp://ftp.netbsd.org/pub/incoming/cgd/netbsd.GENERIC.gz

In addition to the changes which have been checked in recently (most
notably, lots of warning fixes and some other random stuff, like
cleaning up the various machine-type support gunk and making the
processor type names be more prettily printed), it has some changes
that haven't been checked in.

In particular, i've written (i won't say designed, since i more or
less took existing code and pasted it together 8-) a bit of common
interrupt handling code, so that i don't have to write all new
chained-interrupt handling code for each CPU that needs it. (I'm in
thep rocess of making the eb164 boot, and, well, i just couldn't stand
to write _another_ chained-interrupt implementation, or, more probably
to copy it from the kn20 support code and whack it until it worked.)

Anyway, I'd _really_ like people with AlphaStation 200/400-family
machines, AXPpcis/Multias/UDBs, and AlphaStation 500/600-family
machines to try it out. It worked the first time booted on my
AlphaStation 200, and so should work on the 200/400's and the
AXPpci-family machines. There's untested, new code for for the
500/600-family machines which could really use testing. People
wanting to try it on the TC machines are welcome to... you can at
least see if the various other changes didn't break for you... 8-)

please report results (positive or negative, along with your system
type) to me directly.

thanks.

later,

chris
