The TGA is not a PCI VGA device.  it should never, ever, match as a
PCI VGA device.

It's come to my attention (I guessed, based on information about which
systems -- all -- suffer from this when using a serial console, and
have received some information to back up my guess) that this is a
firmware bug.  I'm dragging new firmware files home right now, to
upgrade my Multia's firmware.  If the upgrade works, i.e. doesn't seem
to cause new problems on my (headed) system (i am the guinea pig,
coo-coo ka-choo), i'll see what I can do about making it available to
people who need it.

There's little point in you investigating this further...
