Are you saying you have lcoally updated to 3.0.2, regenerated distinfo,
and confirmed that it works, and that no other packaging changes are
required.  Perhaps you could mail a diff and the commit message
(summarizing the changes in the upstream package, perh pkgsrc norms) and
then someone could apply it.
