If I could get a list of all possible values of ${MACHINE_ARCH}, I could try to 
map to the closest one available.  Just let me know where I can find that-but 
no guarantees.  Or I could mark (NOT|ONLY)_FOR PLATFORM.  Or I could let it go 
with the notice it currently gives.  Which is preferable?
